Process Evaluation
While the Evaluating with Impact Toolkit is not specifically focused on process evaluation, we do think this remains an important area of focus as you plan your evaluation. If after reviewing the first module you feel that your program/activity or organization is not quite ready for impact evaluation, process evaluation is a strong starting point. This page will point you towards some key process evaluation resources, and questions we suggest including in all evaluations, even when your main focus is impact.
Public and Patient Engagement Evaluation Tool (PPEET)
The Public and Patient Engagement Evaluation Tool (PPEET) is a series of three questionnaires developed by the Public and Patient Engagement Collaborative. The questionnaires are tailored to three groups: (1) Participants, (2) Project Organizers; and, (3) the Organization leadership.

Below you will find a list of questions from each of the PPEET tools that we suggest including in all evaluation work. If you are not conducting an impact evaluation, we would suggest reviewing the full PPEET tools to determine if the full survey would be useful for your context.

Planning for future impact evaluation
While you continue to build your program and project and to get to the point where you feel you're ready for impact evaluation, we suggest it is important to continue to collect the data you'll need in the future for impact evaluation work. Specifically, we suggest the following:

-
Assess your ongoing readiness for impact evaluation

-
Document the contributions of patient, family and caregiver partners. Consider using the meeting and decision templates in the RESOURCE section so you will have an ongoing record of how patient, family and caregiver partners contribute to your work for future impact evaluation activities.
